There are indeed some excellent textures in this shot. I like the amount of detail in the sky, in particular. Mono is a good choice to bring out the details. :)

True. But I find that going somewhere new usually gets me more inspired. And England has nothing on the scale of the Iguacu Falls or the Patagonian ice sheets! :)

Ah glad you mentioned. I have been wanting to find parts of the coast here that resembles the OR coast. This and most of my photos are taken on Kauai where I live.

a stunning image, i love black and white photos like this especially of waterscapes...though i would make it bigger, unless you cannot than this is suitable...but id like to really get in this photo and see all the great detail

I keep the photos large enough to view without scrolling on the screen. But I do admit this is awesome huge. Actually a reupload for the APN contest. already in the gallery!

sometimes they ask for larger sizes so they can take them. no reason for bigger than screen size :-P
