Exploring this area for the first time there was lots to look at. Then of course I stumble upon this gap in the rocks perfectly pointing at the lighthouse in the distance. Of course. Now what you dont see is how I was perched above this cavern to shoot. A bit scary but safe from the waves that would explode upward (and out). I can see with bigger surf this might be impossible.

As the sun was starting to get closer to the horizon the earth shadow (purple/pink color you see) was illuminating the sky behind the moon perfectly. To get some texture in the water I pushed my iso way up to get a faster ss. Moon was photographed at 70mm (what the eye sees...or at least my eye) and then placed back in over the small 16mm moon.

Cant wait to get back here again! (and in the summer I think the sun sets between the two rocks)
