Shorebreak At Twilight by aFeinPhoto-com Shorebreak At Twilight by aFeinPhoto-com
edit: less vig, minor color changes

This photo not only challenges what one can capture from the ocean but from the technology that is the camera. Taken about 20+ min after sunset the light was great but at low levels it's very difficult to get shutter speeds fast enough to freeze motion. Pushing the limits of the camera offered great results. Nothing like a 10-20ft shore break to really make it exciting! More of this in the future!

Dodging/burning/etc to bring out contrasts and details.

1/250, f8, iso 1600

This is awesome. The noise actually helped make the crashing wave sharp. The colors are great as well.

noise doesnt make things sharp...good processing and web resizing does ;)

That is true. The noise was evident though throughout the wave and sky. Perhaps you have a tip on how you processed the noise? Or just a simple noise reduction?

Very very dry...minus some spray. I'm back here and the wave run up is rather short oddly enough.
