I think I'm too far north to see the central region of the Milky Way, I just get the fainter bits of it (we get extremely dark skies, but I've never gotten that luminosity)
Will check it out. The plane of it is tilted probably about 30o to 45o degrees from the horizon in the spring/summer months and ends up being nearly 90o in the Fall and onward, best I can remember. I will be paying much more attention this year as the summer draws to a close and the skies darken again for us. Also been buying plenty of monthly star charts hehe. Thank you for the info my friend!
