I like the saturation in this one as well as using of the proportions - more than 50% of the picture is taken by foreground :-)

Very nicely composed and exposed! The 1/2 sec has made that great cotton water effect which i adore:D

I find the best ss for water to be between 1/15 and 1s depending on speed of water flow and effect desired. Glad you enjoy :-)

the colours seem a bit oversaturated to me, but other than that it's a great shot.

No oversaturation here. Just very warm tropical sunset. Brought down the luminance in the orange/yellow actually to maintain some detail. Glad you enjoy :-)

ah, i see.

especially with maintaining some detail.

maybe it's the contrast between the shadow and light that caused it (through whitebalance or something)

It happens often to people that have never been to a tropical place, but the colors here especially sunrise/sunset can be extremely intense. The warm (light temp) sunset w/ the cooler shadows makes the difference that much more apparent. Even with the reflected color in the water. Good times!

If the rest of Kalalau is as beautiful as this, I don't know how you forced yourself to leave!
