Almost 5 years I've been driving by this spot and every time I pass by I see a fleeting composition. The pool in the foreground with the winding stream toward the mountains. The problem is that I'm usually driving somewhere with a purpose and unable to stop. Mentally I was preparing for sunrise light but just last week on a drive back to the north shore I pulled over and turned around. Why not give it a go. The sun was popping in and out of the clouds creating awesome dappled light. I took a number of exposures including some panoramas but this was the first I worked on.
Look for more work from this spot or similar as I do a study of the light over the seasons. And maybe I'll even get permission to shoot from inside the fence
I love the green of the grass. Also very beautiful composition! The red flowers/fruits? in the trees are great spots of colors I think the landscape looks a bit like paradise
Lovely tranquil shot. You're right, shame about the fence. I have a couple of shots here that are ruined by a fence and I'm looking for ways inside. I'm just totally adverse to asking permission to access what in my case is public land.
