I figured I took these 2 years ago, I should probably finish editing them. So I did. Columbia River Gorge in Oregon is pretty freakin awesome. Especially in May when it stays light til 10? This was LATE in the day of a 4 waterfall excursion. More to come from the adventure :)

For photogs out there...there is a lot to improve on this shot. Fun how 2 years can change how one composes. Notice the bottom left corner is cutting off the rock. Also a bit too much space top left. Needed to get further left and pan slightly back to the right. Next time ;)

Everything is post processed while maintaining natural colors and light as one would see it being there themselves. Thanks!

One exposure about a stop over then brought down in post. Dodging/burning etc, but the colors were really strong already. Bit tricky to balance all the tones out.

Very nice shot. Processing just a bit over-cooked in my opinion. Too much highlight recovery and Orton.

Think that's a result of the intense color difference in the light. I was going over that too. Nothing crazy done to this one. Just exposed over a stop and then used adjustment brush to bring the highlights back down. All within the range of the camera. Actually is not technical orton here just some slight blur done to the web file to soften a bit.

Oh the same here, the sunset is almost at 8:30 pm, from that hour until 9 gets dark very quick. In winter the sunset is at about 6 pm D:
Haha yes, it is always fun (:, maybe in 2013 will be time to check out the shots from this year and see the progress ; P
