Rainbow season.

Longish story but, went to party, stayed up all night to shoot sunrise for a shot I had in mind. Boned that, got some others, driving back home the light was super so decided to hit up the overlook that I spent about 1hr at yesterday. Get on top of my car (I do this often for better angle). Shoot, shoot. wait. Another photog shows up, said he saw a rainbow from his window...didnt see one from where I was at the lookout (other shots coming later). Then, less than 10 min later rainbow shows up again....in full force. Wicked bright.

Processed this 3 ways. Posting this version. For thoughts? Orton blended back with normal. Yes it really looked like that.

Thanks again for the honest c/c.

Ask me about custom orders in pins, pendants, ornaments and other designs. Dogs, cats, wolves, horses, and other animals!

Well my first thoughts are no, it didnt really look like that, unless you were on acid or something.....

Seriously I think you should tone this down and remove the orton effect completely, then you will have a wonderful image. As it is I find the colour almost agressive, such is the level of saturation.

I think you should keep the saturation that way, it gives out the colors of the rainbow well, and I guess that's intended. If I were to complain about the saturation, it would be the sky which has too much blue on the clouds, but the ground, everything green is great!

see here for the unorton version, normally processed with normal sat/vib bump...nothing crazy.
