We've had a fair share of very clear nights here recently and during the new moon the sky is just off the charts here. I was at a friends house and wanted to shoot the sky above his place for fun. Then turned to try and capture the Milky Way. The trees at the edge of the property were being illuminated by the house just enough. The soft glow of the Milky Way can be seeing arching upwards. The 'juicy' section you can see is mostly hidden this time of year below the SW portion of the sky...here we look toward the NE.
